A new Frequency Drift album is in the making - time for some fresh band pics! We found ourselves a photographer who is good with war zones, the very talented Till Mayer, illegally blocked a traffic intersection, and witnessed a furious father trying to get his daughter out of a table dance establishment.
We wanted to have a night shoot, which resulted in some challenges with the lighting (surprise!), and we also chose one of the longest days in the year for it (smart!). But it was great fun!
Everybody was so relaxed and easy going, Till loosened us up with fresh watermelon and cranberry prosecco on his Bamberg Balcony, and at around midnight we finally started the session.
I have to admit, I like photo shoots. You get to play with different aspects of your personality. It is like frozen acting, except the role you are playing is... you! You get to home in on moods and feelings that you've experienced and you push them to the front of your face. Well, I was initially going for smug and urbane, but Till repeatedly shouted at me: "I want more arrogance from you! Give me more arrogance!" So I channelled my inner Cristiano Ronaldo in bow-tied lacquer heels - I am awaiting the results with eagerness.
Right now, the pictures are in post processing (because why should photography be any quicker than music records?).
I look forward to sharing them with you when the time has come!
